well i have just had a look at my Volvo 850 GLE that i now have in storage it had a sorta clear thick rubber on the front of the headlights to stop cracking and i just wanted to find out if anyone know where i can pick some up because the glue is coming off.

I haven't seen anything from Volvo but various companies supply protection film for Volvo 850's.

Lol!

UV can damage headlight's ability to see clearly in the dark. Save you headlights from sunlight.
Too bad, no sunglasses or lotion for headlights.

If you have plastic headlight lens, there is UV protection for them.
UV protctive clear coat automotive paint.
After clearing them with sanding etc, this will prevent them from turning yellow again.

Both my 04 c70 and s60 have glass lens, what models started using plastic?
Glass is the best 12 years old and clear as glass

Many suppliers source headlight protection film.
For an example of the product, search "3M Xpel".
They aren't the only source, but the quality is high.

IPD has offered it custom cut for Volvo's for years.
Of course, everything is on Amazon these days...

In Canada we use the film out west to try to prevent rock damage. Many broken headlights here from stone damage (fog lights too). Not too concerned about the UV damage unless it is plastic lenses.
