ETM software questions

I have an 01 S 60 2.4t that has a bad ETM according to VIDA, with a potentiometer range split that goes from 17- to as much as 76%!
So I believe it needs replacement. I have a yellow label one P/N 9644347 that I have from a junk yard car. I cannot remember what kind it was, too many years ago. My question is can the yellow ETM be used? It has ETM -ECU Diagnostic Software Number 30785387 AB and ETM- Software Part Number 0030785866 AA on it. The old ETM has Diagnostic # 30785388 A and Software number 0030785180 A.
I guess the obvious answer would be they're not the same, so no. BUt I wanted to make sure before I start shelling out hundreds for a Xemodex.

The software in the ECU and ETM have to,play together in a 1999 on car, so there is more to it than just matching part numbers.

I know. That s why I was hoping someone could chime in and say that the software is compatible. I highly doubt it but it's worth a shot.

30785866 is for NA Cars and there is also second software number that is for network configuration.
So the answer is no. At least as is.
