I`ll drive and see, but when it happens and I am quick and put it in N then it stops so must be from transmission ?

+1 to MIJ's comments above. I would add that on my '97, the shuddering and stalling was due to a dirty Idle Air Control (IAC) valve. It might be worth checking it... I wrote it up here:

I'd be interested to know what your RPMs look like when it's doing this - steady, or hunting around? The transmission is not a fun place to have to poke around - that's my opinion at least, so make sure you eliminate all other possibilities first. Have you tried unplugging the MAF and drive with it? Even if your tranny's having trouble, the engine should compensate for the effects of it. I think the others are right - you should look at other possibilities as well. Your solenoid or converter could still be the issue, but as it stands now, the only way to be sure is to actually troubleshoot those to areas.
