Radiator Trans Fittings Gender

Post by MrAl »

Hello there,

The transmission for these cars (1998 v70, auto transmission) have different gender fittings for the radiator, either male or female. Can you tell which this radiator has from these pictures?
The pics are kind of hard to get. #1 shows the close up of the upper connector (see two new hex nuts), #2 shows the back part of the lower connector with the metal clip.

Thanks.

I’ve been driving a Volvo long before anyone ever paid me to drive one.
That's probably because I've been driving one since 2015 and nobody has offered to pay me yet.

Hello again,

Oh ok, thanks much. I think the female rads might be a little more expensive, but i'll check again. The job is done but i wanted to finally find out.

Just one more question then...
What do they mean when they list a "vent tube"?
Some rads come with it, some rads come without it. Dont know what it is myself.

Hi,

Ha ha, yeah, especially with all the stuff in the news these days right?
Weird things going on, or should i say coming off (har har har).

What else is strange is it seems that it is not yet certain if you-know-who still has you-know-whats or has truly gotten rid of them. According to some news reports the operation may have been faked.

One of the strengths of America is if you come to work and do your best, we don't care what religion, country, colour, sex, gender, identity, or kind of transmission you have. That's what I think about on the 4th July and how special it makes this country

Hi again,

That's what it SHOULD be, but there is a big difference between theory and practice. People have biases and i dont think there is any way around them. It's only when something is forced legally do they finally agree to go along with it. We're lucky in this day and age that some people dont need to be forced, but others always will. These are the subtle criminals of society that get away with things just because they are not caught 'yet'.

In any case, Happy 4th :-)
