I have to agree. I own two of these cars in large part because of the seats. I much prefer them to the versions in our XC90 (which are still pretty darn good!).

I'm also open to having the leather fixed or re-skinned. Any ideas where to start looking to get that done?

You can try here http://www.elwoodindustries.com/id2.html

Might be cheaper and easier just to buy a good set of seats from a parts yard or forum member though.

I put p2 seats in my p80 as I had a nice pair of them- the sunroof drain leaked all over the passenger seat and it went hard- yet the p80 seats sat outside in the rain and sun for two months and were still soft- go figure- I find the P2 seats a little nicer hard to put a finger on it but nicer none the less

Sometimes you get lucky in a junk yard. I got these out of an s70 a couple years ago, I think it was about 35 bucks a seat.

Yes! Most comfortable car seats I've sat in. Apparently the first gen S80 also has really good seats.

I had a massive hole in my driver's seat leather, and I replaced the bottom cover with one from the junkyard. It's lighter than my darker beige interior, but it's in tact! Then the driver's backrest has a decent size tear along the seam on the outer bolster. My passenger seat has a tear or two just on the bottom, and my back seats look like new. Other than the ground in dirt that's obvious, my leather isn't too awful.
I clean my seats with either Lexol cleaner and conditioner (orange and brown bottles) or Meguiar's Gold Class all in one. Turtle Wax Luxe Leather is also pretty good. I'd like to try Leatherique, though. I've heard only great things about them.
I've only had my V70 for about a year, but the leather hasn't worn at all since I've had it. Like I said, I regularly clean and condition it, too.

Good thing all the yards by me keep the imports near the front! I remember the pain that it was to remove the driver's seat from my car to re-cover it. They're heavy!

Well, if I lived in Hershey, I'd think seriously about looking for a pair of P2 seats at Harry's U-Pull It (any one of three locations in Pa., but largest inventory in West Hazelton). $30 a seat for power seats and just do a straight swap. Much cheaper and a whole lot less hassle than reskinning seats. If I'd have know about Harry's (and that P2 seats would fit in a p80) when I reskinned my V70 seats, I would have skipped the reskinning and opted for P2 seats instead on cost alone.

About an hour and 20 min. travel time for you. Well worth it.

P80 and S80 seats are great, but the best ever was my P2 V70 R's seats. Those were thrones.
