Interior lights don't come on s70

Went to go for a drive tonight and the dash lights don't come on. I checked the fuse and it's fine. The same fuse controls the sunroof and that works. Any idea? The dome lights and footwell lights come on, headlights work, just interior dash lights as well as the lights on the AC box too.

Hi,

Bad switch perhaps? That's the switch in the center of the lights on the ceiling.
Try flipping it back and forth several times and see if the lights flicker or something.
If might be just dirty inside.

These are the dash lights, not the interior dome lights.

Bad dimmer switch is the most likely culprit.

Thats what I thought, so replaced with an extra one I had lying around… no dice.

You didn't happen to do anything with the small gauge
pink wire at the accessory connector involving your dash
cam, did you? It's connected directly to the output of the
dash dimmer and too much of a load could cause trouble.

Nope, I decided not to do that dash cam at this time. If I had I would be so worried I really messed something up! But no, nothing installed. I did move that accessory connector just to look at it, wonder if something got shook loose?

Probably not. Volvo builds a good harness.
Time to get a meter out and start testing.

I went out to go work on this just now, the lights now work! Only thing I did was jiggle a couple harnesses, one under the dash and one behind the radio. Now it works. We will see for how long though. Crossing my fingers.
