P2 seats' leather ages/lasts much better than P80 Volvos

Charcoal seats on my S70 don't look terrible, but they've shown some wear.

They usually look to be in better shape than the tan ones, but I've seen charcoal ones beat to heck too.

I see it in junkyards all the time... black seats are in great shape, beige are usually terrible.

I always notice darkening of the cracks in the tan seats, which makes them look terrible. It's not noticeable in black seats, so even the cracked-up dark seats look pretty decent until they start tearing.

Thanks! I've been meaning to make my way out there. Black T5R seats may be hard to find though but I'll give it a shot.

Oooh... that'll be tough. The alcantara gets so matted and nasty looking.

Grey seats in my '97 are great. drivers seat has basic wear. Use Lexol once or twice a year car is garaged and it`s not that sunny in Seattle.

Here's a 2002 V70 AWD for sale in Denver. 178k miles. This is what I'm talking about.

Did they just drive that off the factory floor into a dealer?

I didn't "cherry-pick" that photo from dozens of P2 cars on CL. It was the only V70 to come up on the site in yesterday's Google Alert alert.
