I've owned 5 Volvos in the past. Several 740s a couple 240s.

Just picked up a 98 S70 T5 in decent shape to use to commute the 15 miles I drive back and forth to work. It's in decent shape but the exhaust system is pretty beat up and I would like to replace the entire thing right from the turbo to the tail pipe and never worry about it again.

My google search skills are failing me. What is everyone running for an exhaust? Is there a complete kit out there that I haven't seen yet?

Picture of the car, because everyone likes pictures...

Has tons of service history. Tires are brand new, timing belt and associated tensioner, pulleys and water pump were just done 15k miles ago. Interior is slightly beat up.

What type of system do you want? Cheap and cheerful aftermarket to last a couple of years, a good quality system to last a long time, or a 'go faster' system? That will dictate what you should be looking for and for us to help you.

Cheap and cheerful. I'm looking for quiet mainly, and close to stock.

I have not had to buy one recently, but this one from FCP is a decent system:

Excludes the CAT. They are pricey and they carry an aftermarket direct fit but you are in the $4-500 range for that.

Have a good look at the manifold/downpipe and cat, if they are good, I'd leave well alone and replace from cat back only.

I'm fairly certain that the leak I currently have is at the outlet from the cat. I'll have to get it up in the air this weekend to confirm.

What is a good aftermarket cat to get? Inspection here is visual only. No emission testing.

Thanks for the link!

Get underneath the car and measure the cat for length and buy an aftermarket in similar length or even smaller as the muffler shop can add a piece to compensate. It might cost you around $120 total and that's $65 for a cat and $55 for welding. This might be the cheapest unless someone in your area is parting out a Volvo.
This is only if the converter has fallen apart but anyway your cheapest way is to re weld it or else you are looking to shell some money for a full exhaust.
