Hello!
This is my firat post and i dont know If this will help anybody but if you find a s/v40 turbo 96-99 you can take the fuelpump because it is the same walbro grj235.
I did it today! You only have to switch the small filter at the inlet and remove an strange rubber cover on s/v40 pump. After that it fits like the original pump in the casing.
Remember to not use to much force! Much plastic everywhere!
(Sorry for my english.....im Swedish)

Did North America get S/V 40's that early? I thought they only got here around 2000-2001?
This is great input and thanks. Welcome to MVS.
Neil.

Added AWD and R fuel pump assembly part number to title for reference
Status August 2022
9470674 is an obsolete, NLA part from Volvo
The Walbro GRJ235 insert is available as aftermarket - you have to rebuild the pump into your existing housing.

I think Robert just jumped though that hoop on the T5R when he got back to Cinncy. As I recall, he even had a 'don't do this' moment' , broke something and left it i the video.
He has a wagon though.

We need some of our EU friends to get some of the GRJ235 pumps and send them over

Swapping the pump in a T5R is easy-peasey compared to abscates AWD S70.

I should add, the fuel level sensors are wired in series, the resistance for each level sensor is added together. If one level sensor goes open circuit, the fuel gauge does not work. As for operation, the left tank keeps the right tank full, until the left tank is empty, then the right tank starts to go down.

Hi,
In order to finish the restoration of my '00 V70 XC AWD, the last main issue is that when 30L is screened on gauge, the car appears to run out of fuel.
a garage assigned by the previous owner diagnosed a deffective "left pump".
It was a real pita to find one (I'm from france and the only one I ever saw was in US, had to sent it to a us cousin who sent me the precious...).
But as I received it, I just don't understand what can go wrong with it, as it's just hoses, and as the "level sensor" part is working on mine.....
As I see the nightmare to get the fuel tank appart, I'm questionning myself and this forum before doing his task: how can it go wrong? and what else can go wrong and make me having about 40l of fuel to use?
Thanks by advance for your help!
