Swap engine head on calif engine

hello I have 2004 volvo s60 (6th and 7th vin digits 64) B5244S6 engine (calif edition)
There is a knocking noise on the top of the engine probably in a head, when I released timing belt, both camshafts sprockets are kinda loose ( i can turn them by hand very ease about 4-5 teeth without moving camshaft ) is it normal for this kind of engine? if not what can I do to fix it or can I put another head (not calif edition) to this engine? thank you

Are you saying the cam sprockets are loose on the cams themselves? I've never heard of such...explain a little further. I personally don't think it's a head issue from what I get from reading your post but something completely different. Does this car have dual CVVT hubs?

I think it does have dual CVVT hubs as with no oil pressure, thats exactly what they do.
