I will pay some crazy mechanic at the dealer if I had to do that one again!
Never trust a Scot when he says this. When his checkbook comes out of his pocket, the people in the pictures blink at the light...

(Ive heard he re-uses old engine oil, too)

What is a checkbook? Never heard of such a strange thing! (Now a cheque book I have heard of!!). As for re-using engine oil, is it not cleaner each time you use it as the new filter cleans it?!!! LOL!

Seriously, the fact that I would be willing to pay over a couple of hours labor to a mechanic to do this at the dealer, tells you what my opinion of the job difficulty is.

You lost your cheques under a tyre in the boot.

I had to cut and re-flare my brake lines. I used steel flare nuts. Not sure why cars come with brass from the factory - maybe something corrosion-related - but I ain't playing around with brass anymore.
