You can get used parts pretty cheap on the forums. try posting a WTB ad. But yes with shipping you'll pay more. I know what you mean, closest u pull is an hour for me and they have almost nothing useful, I have to go 3 hours to Minneapolis and that means I basically never go.

I am so lucky to have my mechanic just minutes away from me who always has a supply of P80 parts cars that he's fine with me picking parts from, and is really generous with pricing. Yet another reason I own 3 Volvos!

So there are three different kinds of OEM VOLVO stabilizer bars!
MARKED 1 ($119)
http://www.tascaparts.com/volvo/s70/917 ... ilizer-bar
MARKED 2 ($139)
http://www.tascaparts.com/volvo/s70/917 ... ilizer-bar
and
MARKED A ($211)
http://www.tascaparts.com/volvo/s70/917 ... ilizer-bar
How do you determine which one fits?

So the 21.5 is what you'd find on, say, a S70 R?
Sweet. That means I can get the cheapest one!!!

Make life a little easier?
In all seriousness, thanks for the reality check. I don't need to spend money if I don't have to. I know the OEM one is good for 18 years. But realistically, are we going to get 18 more years out of this car?
The link you posted http://www.energysuspensionparts.com/9.5124... Is not half bad.
For a 20mm bar it's probably a real good bet. And pretty cost effective. Like I mentioned, I really need to get new subframe bushings in there (Proparts wasn't good to me...) and spend the OEM price for them! So saving the $119 really helps out.
Seem like you only have to lower the rear end of the subframe...
