Hi , I am new to this forum and just bought a 2007 xc70 that needs some work. I do all of my own maintenance and am trying to find a service manual ( does not have to be specific to this model , just the systems). I have looked and found only a couple of haynes manuals for different volvo models, and vida? which needs a pc to run?
Has anyone tried this place http://www.1000repairmanuals.com/expand ... l-462.html
What do most people do here, piece together their own manuals from different sources. I can figure out most things without a manual , but still need torque specs.
Thank you, rob

Thank you will do.
I am somewhat computer illiterate , so understanding all of the computer requirements is a little daunting.
I see the VIDA DICE set ups for sale on ebay, Volvo and Chinese knockoff. Is there any difference between the two , besides price.
Also computer requirements... has to be a PC or something that will run windows 7 ? cheapest options ? I only have macs.
Are the descriptions of what is needed ( computer and programs) listed on the sites selling the VIDA DICE set up complete and accurate( no cotchas). Will it work? Thank you, rob

Rob...I like Alldata where you buy a subscription and get internet access to factory car manuals.
You can't lose them, and you don't need to bring it on a trip.
On a five year plan it costs $5 a year, which is dirt cheap....and there are people here who reuse old engine oil

Thanks abscate , I will look at that too.
I all ready ordered a used laptop and VIDA DICE and downloaded PDF manual from here https://www.1000repairmanuals.com/search-xc70_0.html Looks to be he Volvo factory service manual , has all the info I need , but is a bit clunky/slow to use.
Worth the $20.
