low oil level warning light

Post by fixer333 »

Does the 2007 xc70 have a low oil level warning light. I know it has a low oil pressure warning light.
I could not find one and even scrolled trough the menu using the scroll wheel on the left stem. I look at the owners manual and it does not give model specific information on this.
Anyone know?
Thank you , Rob

ha ha its ok
Yes I'm fanatical about checking oil, hah ha have owned to many oil burners.
I have looked at all the owners manuals and messed around with all the gauges in the car and I dont think it does.
The real reason i wanted to know , is I was hoping the last owners didn't run it out of oil( say they didn't and it runs well), less likely if it had a low oil level warning. Oh well its mine now.

I think P2 warn both with a light and an engine message but there is no oil level sensor, just a pressure switch.

Oil level on a 10 year old car needs to be checked at least semi-weekly for a daily driver, more if you have leaks/burning.
