Hi
I have just bought a 440CD 1997 automatic which is great, but the windscreen wipers only work intermittent. The stalk clicks up once for intermittent but will not click up again for constant use. This could be something obvious that I have missed, but please help.
Also, has anyone got a printable manual as I was not given one with the car

Welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.
Have you tried going down with the wiper lever? On my 850 up is intermittent, press down without a click is single wipe, press down with a click is slow speed and down again with a further click is fast speed. I believe that most Volvos are the same.
For a manual I would suggest eBay or some second hand bookshops get them. You may even be lucky enough to find one in a scrap car.
Bill.

There is a cable running from under the seats with a connector - just unplug it and the seatbelt warning is off. Really very simple once you find it (at least it was on mine '89)
