I need to know where these two parts go. Any help would be appreciated. 1 is the battery hold down/latch, but I cannot seem to get it to fit anywhere. The other bracket is for something, but I cannot figure it out. My Son took it apart and I put it together.
It runs great now. I just hate having parts left over. Thank you in advance.

picture #1 is definitely the battery hold down clip. With the battery in the tray and shoved all the way towards the driver's side fender, the slot on the clip fits on the edge of the tray and you push it down to lock it into place.
picture #2 is a support bracket for the exhaust manifold. You'll see two threaded holes in the block where the two bolts attach, and the single slot attaches to the exhaust manifold itself. It should be fairly obvious when under the car looking at it.
Congrats on finishing the valve job!

Funny, I just finished putting a S70 back together (that I didn't take apart) and I also had #2 left over! I deemed it unimportant and moved on. The car doesn't start anyway, so I figured I had bigger fish to fry.
