V40 Inside Recirculate Vent

Post by jdifelice »

Does anyone know where the intake vent is inside the car's cabin for the car's recirculate function? I am trying to spray some anti bacterial spray into all the vents and the procedure is to also spray into the intake vent for the recirc function. On most cars its under the glove box. But on my V40, there is no such vent there.

So I called a Volvo dealership and talked to someone in their service department. He said they are not aware of any 'return vent' in Volvos in the passenger cabin. Even when you hit the recirculate button, they say the air still comes from the outside fresh air vents located at the bottom of the windshield...?

Then what does hitting the recirculate button do if air is always coming from the outside.?

If you hit the recirculate button, air is definetly not coming from outside. I have tested it. But i am curious too where it takes air.
