ok thanks -- that's a great shot -- good, this maybe my evap cel thing p0447 if I remember. just saw the wire yesterday so it may have been bad all along and just fell loose. It's a stranded wire with a hefty insulation about the thickness of a spark plug wire -- I'll get under there tomorrow. Thanks for that photo !

Misha-perfectly appropriate alternate view. Looks like the broken wire goes to the connector on the end of the J-hose from the canister. Appears to be the right gauge and location... just fell back and droop out of curve.

OP; when you can get a look under there, let us know if that's what you find. Then you can clear your evap code! :D
