1995 855T Seat skins

Post by Klausc »

My 1995 850 driver's seat has a small tear in the bottom seat skin. The leather is quite thin after all these years. I looked at the SV70 cars but they don't look much better. I know this has been asked many times before and the answers are always: SV70 skins up to 2000 work.

What if I took a skin off a 2004 XC90? Would that even fit? I know that the stitch pattern is different and there probably isn't a hole for the lumbar adjustment. The local (1 hour drive) P&P charges $20 for the whole seat - same price for just the skins.

I was waiting for a 2000 SV70, but even they are getting scarce. Especially in black. No, I refuse to buy seat covers!! And I am too cheap to buy those $250+ skins.

I have a spare 1998 seat, the butt warmers are better than the 850.

If I had a larger garage, I could have more Volvos.

I have a set of black front seats from a 98 V70. I'm leaving for Minitonka tomorrow early AM. If you want them let me know before 10PM EST.
