I miss the manual hand brake of my '05 V70. Cables, springs, a lever and button release. Sigh. I am impressed though that VIDA can activate the rear brake solenoid remotely during service. Does it feel like the brake booster is engaged when you press the pedal ? Knowing how engineers love to play with their software....I am going to take a wild Car Talk guess...that the VIDA program in this command line somehow Bi-passes (relieves) the static brake booster line pressure until the parking brake solenoid is verified retracted. The interuption of the bat voltage may have errored the cycle in the booster pressure monitoring, as you have suggested ( the software is waiting a reply via solenoid voltage drop to determine status) Nice try, ahh ? I would hook VADIS up again and attempt to repeat the full code command cycle. It seems, maybe, that a valve is remaining commanded to 'open' to relieve hydraulic press giving you a soft pedal. Especially if you don't suspect you let air into the brake fluid pneumatics. Let me know what you found. I'm curious. You can also try to reboot the car system ( and controls) back to default. Let car cool to ambient temperature, remove negative bat cable. Time one hour ( to bleed capacitence) and reconnect. Power up.
