1998 V70 AC cutting off when throttle is engaged

Post by DavisonDudeDivision »

AC will remain in the ON position and on maximum output through this description using symptoms my 1998 v70 2.5L 200,000 miles vehicle is exhibiting --Upon starting the car the AC will start and run for 30 seconds give or take but then turn off; the air will have been ice cold and the unit is functioning perfectly but seems to shut off for no reason (theres always a reason). Shifting it out of park i begin to drive normally with the AC in the same settings however when i apply my breaks the AC will start up and stop once I've come to a complete stop. Car engine are not my forte so if you could dumb things down it would be mighty appreciated.

Weird one.

A short circuit involving the speed sensor wire, maybe?

I've had to do two ECC harnesses in my 97. When the blower motor gets old, it draws excess current, and fries the wires.

Pull off the passenger side lower dash cover, and/or maybe pull the glovebox out, and see if you see any melted wiring.
