That looks like its headed to the air cleaner for the heated air riser - there should be two nipples close together with a vacuum line on each

Look under your hood for the vacuum hose sticker with diagram.

yea its anon turbo and retightening was an option but since I was that deep it was foolish not to replace gasket anyway

I feel what you're saying. You finding loose bolts gave me the idea of tightening before disassemble. I try and report back.

I saw where you say loose bolts near cyl. 3/4. My leak is 2/3. This is pretty much the area of starting to " torqueing head bolts center to out " . I'll be sure to pay attention to this is head removal is needed.

A vacuum diagram for your car should be under your hood when you look up. See what matches up with your lines. Hopefully someone before you didn't take it down. Btw, that white line looks like one that might attach on the back side of your large accordion hose to your intake manifold. Look there to see if there's a nipple for it.
