instrument cluster bulbs, wattage of colors? (2002 V70)

Post by zwieback »

Two of the grey bulbs on the back of my instrument cluster are burnt out and I can't read the messages on the lower-left LCD display.

I noticed there are grey, black and blue sockets, but I can only find one type in the online parts stores.

Does anyone know which wattage each of the three colors is?

Thanks,
Andrew

sockets are t5. the black are 3w and break easily. the grey are around 2w and can replace all blue and black. the blue ones for the displays can also be replaced with cheap ebay del bulbs. side note, you should be able so read the display from very close range even with the bulbs burnt, or it might be faulty along with the DIM, common issue on 2002-2003

Great, thanks for the info. I can read the display with my LED bike light so I know nothing terrible is going on but would like to get the bulbs replaced eventually.
