transmission coolant line issues Topic is solved

Hello,
I feel pretty dumb asking this but I don't know what else to do.
I can not get my bottom trans coolant line to seat all the way back into my radiator.
The top one went in without much effort but this bottom one doesn't want to seat for anything for me.
First the new green o-rings from ipd didn't want to seat in and one tore (same problem on both lines)
So I put the old ones back on (grr). That worked well enough for the top line.
The bottom line just isn't cooperating.
I don't want to force it but I tried a little with some pliars but it's such a tough spot I really couldn't get much grip anyway.
I'm at a lost right now though. I need to get this back together this afternoon and at this rate it isn't going to happen.
It's bad enough the dang lines are going to leak anyway now probably with the old o-rings back on it.
So please any tips to get a line to seat all the way in ? I've lubed it plenty and still won't go.
Tried twisting it as I push it in with no luck.
Maybe it's the aftermarket radiator giving me grief but I can't see any difference between the top and bottom.
The only thing I can think of at this point is to unscrew the piece it connects into the radiator and try connecting them together that way.
It shouldn't be this hard for sure. Tried doing a google search on this issue and it doesn't seem like it's that common of a problem.

Is this with the metal clip in place, or is that backed off the connector? I'm just wondering if it's on wrong and getting in the way, something like that.

No I had it completely backed off, if you try and keep it half on it gets in the way sliding over the connector.
So I ended up taking off the connector from the radiator and pressing in the hose that way.
As long as it doesn't leak too much I'll deal with it.
Hoping I didn't cross thread the connector back into the radiator ...
21 years of crud and nothing appearing to be replaced it's been a fight the whole way in replacing this radiator...
