My volvo did not passed the yearly check, due to unbalanced braking with the parking brakes: the right side did not brake enough.
I checked and changed discs and pads but the problem i still there.
I noticed the rubber bot covering the terminal side (close to the calliper) is broken and likely the cable is bit rusty inside.
there is a way to replace the rubber boot os shall we replace the full cable ?
did anyone made this repair ?

It's unlikely to be just a boot issue. I suspect the cable has rusted inside the sheath.
Disconnect at the wheel end and work with an assistant to see if the cable will move back and forth freely.
If it doesn't move or doesn't move easily, change it.
