Scored this radio to instal into my 98 V70 only to find out I need the Amp also,I dont have the amp ..so I went a different route...
I pluged it in an it turned on ,No sound,even threw in a CD an watched it Start playing Only with out the sound..again it need the amp to work properly..Comes with the 3disc cartridge ..also with CODE

You also need the cable to connect the amp. These items can usually be found at PnP places. I always have a laugh when I find people have pulled the radio and find they don't work without the amp. If I see the amp and cables I pull them and now have a stash of them. Amps are still available but cables are obsolete.

I don't have any cables for this. That is for the center Dolby unit? In the 2-3 years I have been going to our local PnP's there has never been a car with the Dolby units. Guess people in this area were too cheap to buy them!

I know Chapman Motors on Vancouver Island had some cars with the Dolby units in them, so maybe worth trying them, or vandsautodismantlers in California, or Erie Vo-Vo in the East.

The center channel speaker cable actually runs from the HU to the speaker.
It plugs into the green connector on the SC-900/901s. On some cars, it may
also have other leads on that 5 pin plug.

Yes, that is the cable I am looking for. It plugs into the green connector on the SC-900/901. I bought a center speaker off of ebay from someone parting out a C70. I told him I would only buy the speaker if the wire came with it. He sent the speaker with a wire, but it didn't fit in my SC-901.

I'm not sure what happened. I don't think there are any other stock HU's that have a center speaker channel. I think he might of just grabbed another speaker wire out of the car thinking it didn't matter.

Do you have any amps to sell? I need one - have the cable and bracket but the amp I had before went up in smoke. (This is for behind the dash version).

I just recently found a ( mostly working ) 901 and need the under seat amp and wiring to the amp...Do you still have any of these left?

Hi Chris I do have 2 tested and working amps and also the cables to connect. What is your problem with the SC-901? PM me and we can figure this out.
