'99 V70 Auto Base, FWD -- SRS Light Topic is solved

So my son was home from school and left the window down on the passenger side of the wife's V70. Needless to say, it rained on and off through the night. Wife says that, surprisingly, the interior wasn't particular wet, but nonetheless, water got into the car. Driving it the next day, the SRS dash warning light came on. Also, when I use the right directional, the bulb out warning light flashes (almost in time with the directional). When I walked around the car with the right directional on, none of the bulbs actuated by the directional were out.

I suspect I have moisture in the wiring somewhere from the rain. Any practical way to dry things out (I hadn't considered filling the entire interior compartment with rice)? And is there a way to reset the SRS light without a trip to the dealer? I am sure my cheap code reader won't do it.

If it is a bona fide SRS light (doubtful) what kind of flaw might it be warning me about?

Moisture may have got into the connections at the side of the front seat. If electric, raise the seat to maximum height, disconnect the battery and use a hair drier on a low heat to gently warm the area on the LHS of the front seat and particular the seat adjustment cluster.

Re-set needs Vida and perhaps a good high end Autel (abscate?) to reset as I understand it.

Steve -- Thanks for the offer, but it isn't exactly around the corner for you and I'm not sure when I'd get the chance for a mosey up to Albany. I've got a local Volvo shop (ironically one I do not patronize frequently), that probably has the necessary scanner and if I ask nicely, might shut the light off for me n/c. I'll go that route first.

Neil for the win. Pick any doll from the top shelf. Local independent Volvo shop with expensive Volvo scanner reset it. It was the passenger side seat airbag -- where the windows was left open. I chipped the guy a fin so he could buy himself a beer. No half hour drive to the dealer and expensive charge to reset.
