Power trunk botton does not work.

Hello

The power trunk botton that's on the driver side door does not work. I can only open the trunk from the outside using the key. Anyone know what the problem could be and what needs to be fixed or replaced.

Are you heairing the plunger in the back Move when you hit the button? You might need to two people and a quiet place to test this.

I've got mine all apart on my 1999 v70 so I've got plenty of pix. I'm not positive they are the same

power trunk button? Is that an S/V70 thing? I know, tbis is of no help to the OP, but satisfies my nosyness

Most likely the wiring harness has a break at the hinge. I find the motors do go bad but rarely. The 850 lock only locks/un-locks from the fob, but the S70 releases. The S/V70 locks release the fuel flap and the trunk on the sedan, but on an 850 it just un-locks the item. In both case it is most likely the wiring that fails in the trunk issues.

This is a 99 S70 by the way.

This issue will be the same for all 98-00 S70's.
