A man told me he was getting 43mpg also..!?

If there is a mountain with a 43 mile descent I can see it happening .

I've been told the same thing. Things to know:
1. They are typically in the UK, measuring fuel in Imperial Gallons, not US Gallons. Imperial gallons are ~20% bigger.
2. They are typically diesel
Which is why I'm happy when I drive on the freeway and get 28 MPG in my US V8!
