V 70 BREAK DIESEL 1998 RAILS PIECES MISSING Topic is solved

Hy Everyone,
I open a new topic. I've recently got some water in the ground passenger side. The trouble comes from the rails, for which ones i need to change bolts seals and covers.

I have worked on this once, there was a lot of dust, pieces of leaves etc.. I have cleaned it up. But i have seen that under the gum band placed under the rails, there were "clips, yellow ones" that were missing.

May someone knows the references of these pieces and where i may find them ?

Welcome to MVS. I believe you are looking for the retainer clips for the roof rails for a 98 wagon. I have added a link below to a Volvo parts web-site and hopefully you can see what you are looking for. First 2 links if for a car with rails and 3rd for one without. These are for cars with low chassis numbers. If you check on the website they also have pages for higher chassis numbers.

Hy Neil, and everyone,
I would like to complete my question, but at first, thank you to welcome me.
Does it exist, to your knowledgement, a volvo (whenever "used") part seller who send parts to France from USA ? I've seen several sellers on eBay, but, i would like to be sure before ordering something. For exemple, it's impossible here to find a complete "interior" BEIGE colored for my wagon.

Is my demand realistic ?

Interiors, particularly in beige are usually very worn by this time. It is the one colour that does not stand up to time for some reason. There is a company that makes aftermarket seat covers, and hopefully someone else will jump in with their name. I have heard good things about their products.

As for 2nd hand/used items and getting them shipped to France it would be horribly expensive as seats are large and heavy. New covers I believe are no longer available new.

If there are no specialists in France, you may be better looking to England or maybe Sweden for specialist used parts suppliers.

I have 2 friends looking for beige interior seats and I have never seen a good set in 3 years of looking locally in wrecking yards here. I did have a nice set in an 850 but that car went to California to live.

I wish you luck in your search. And don't worry about your writing skills in English, they are way better than my school French!

Lastly, you might be better starting a new thread for the seat request as this thread has been ticked as answered.
