Look at these pictures - tell me what this hose is

I am having trouble determining this hose that is loose at the back end of the block.
It leads here to the front end driver side of block.

If you mean the black one, it looks like the one that goes to the CBV that is mounted on top of the turbo. Is the back end of the hose near the turbo, on the driver's side?

Otherwise, it may be the line from the intake manifold to the fuel pressure regulator, that is located way down low near the steering rack, on the passenger side of the car.

CBV is the yellow piece here, called the Blow off valve: Image

Thanks Eric,

Yeah, it drops off toward the turbo on the driver side, so probably that CBV.
I tried following that loose end downward, and my too large hand did not get that far.
Do you have to take out the whole airbox and pipe to get there?

To be honest I'm not sure. Definitely easier if you do. Not the airbox but unhook the snorkel pipe at the MAF.

Get a good light in there, see if you can see that nipple on the CBV. The rubber looks pretty old, would't hurt to just replace the thing (vacuum line) it may be leaking.

Yeah, I have some loss in response at the peddle, so this is the source.
I will replace the whole thing. I suppose this must be the same diameter silicon as what I ran on my TCV?

I used the same size line for both, that should do it yes.

You are most welcome, when you get it fixed up let us know if it works out like we discussed.
