97 850 R keyless entry not working/no blinking security light

My central locking works but not the fob. and fuses 15 and i think 32 both good. I removed glove box looking for reciever module but its not there in my car. The red light on dash top NEVER has lit in the year ive owned it. Im guessing its a bad relay or someone had the immobilizer issue, and disabled the security system. Any info on where the relay is, and how to know if the systems been tampered with. I just want the key fob to work. Obviously the red light needs to be operating before i move on and replace the fob.

You have to remove the dash pad. The receiver module box should be on the top of the instrument cluster. Are you sure the key fob is set up for your car? New battery in the key fob?

Yes the batteries are good, and i did the 5x ritual to program. But with no blinking action on dash i feel like its not sensing anything anyway. Also i took the fob to my local auto parts where they have an RF tester that will read the signal of a good fob. Mine did not work there either. I have the over under style remote that supposedly chirps when buttons are pressed.Which mine does not. Also its missing the battery cap/door i w as able to make a nifty replacement by cutting down a beer cap with kitchen scissors, although I recommend tin snips. It works by wedging in the hole.
