Probably not bad gas, it's a very rare occurrence.

Got it. I will keep an eye on it until new distributor cap/rotor and spark plug wires are installed.....

So far, no CEL after that instance. I replaced distributor cap/rotor and spark plug wire. I could feel a bit different in acceleration.

You probably don't want to do this, but I'd be curious if the problem returns when you reinstall the old plug wires. Or does it make a difference?

Before I replaced spark plug wires, distributor cap/rotor, CEL had not returned since the very first occurrence. As I mentioned, new wires, distributor cap/rotor did make a difference. I feel that acceleration is much more smooth and "continuous" (feel like keep on coming) ....
