06 XC 90 - What tires are best.

Anyone care to weigh in on what tires they are running and how they have been. Interested to know if any lesser cost tires are performing well, road quiet, and holding up for 20K or 30K miles? Any recommendations for tires is appreciated. I am getting ready to buy a set of 4 and hope it does not have to cost me a fortune. Also thinking about running all seasons not snow tires. Never had all wheel drive before but I assume even in the north east I can forgo the snow tires. Any thoughts?

I put on a set of Continental LX-20's. Very happy with them so far, had them a little over a year. Better then than the Falken's that the dealer put on when I bought it (used). Even my wife says the Continentals feel better on the road.
