may be a late thing to ask, but if ive got an sc901. whats the best way to sell it, here on mvs? on ebay? is it not a thing worth selling because of the amp? is the amp worth sourcing? i heard no because of the harness being needed so ud need the entire car as parts.

im slowly finding these on craigslist and building up a parts bin for my s70

The risk for any buyer for the SC900/901 units is how do they know if it works when it does not come with an amp and cable? The amps and cables are getting harder to find over here in Calgary. I used to find them at PnP regularly, now I have not seen one in about 6 months. I have lost count on how many times I have found a car with no head unit and the amp and cable left in place, and then later finding the head units up for sale as the person who pulled it didn't realise you need the cable and amp! People are wary of buying these units as they have a habit of not working. Do you have the Radio code or at least the VIN for the car it came form to get the code?

Do you know if the unit works? Does the 3 CD changer work?

At PnP I don't pay a lot for the SC901 units but at least I can return them for a refund if they don't work. I think I still have 4 or 5 amps in the stash and cables for them all.

As to selling it, you may get more interest here from an enthusiast who needs a HU upgrade and already has the amp and cable, or has a failed HU needing replaced. Fleabay is another option. Depending on your local on-line sales web-sites (Craigslist/Kijiji/whatever) you may get lucky and find a local buyer and save on the hassle of packing and shipping.

Thanks Neil, If a forum member needed it i would definitely ship it first, i know it works, i have the radio code, the cd changer does work, ijust get no sound, and apparently thats because i ened the amp and cable.

Hi, I am swap 836 for 901. Pick the stations, but no sound. 836 no amp cable. 2 main connection, cd changer and 2 ariel.

SC-836? I have never heard of that model? Can you post a picture of the front and back of the unit please?

Hi scot850 SC836=SC805. If I'm not mistaken, a car radio for the Japanese market. Kysa007 for SC-901 need an amplifier.
