Thanks crlande, looking it up on line ,go figure, man its always something,Im not really so much complaining, but little stuff like this is can be such a tedious project,Thank you ,I will figure this out, guess Ill just not run any air at all till then, Time to put on my parka, heavy tights, and quite possibly my North Face.lol

You can run the heat just fine but directly behind the glove box is the recirc flap and it is usually the arm between the motor and the flap that breaks. You can just turn the REC button off and it will shut up.

I don't tend to hear that motor ticking when it the arm breaks on the air intake flap. When it happened to me it was one of the 2 motors on the RHS of the central portion of the dashboard. They can be seen by removing the RH under tray on the dash and looking to the left. One towards the front can break the plastic portion that the motor uses to drive the flap (I actually had a flap rubber seal that had partially melted preventing the flap moving. In that case I had to dis-assemble the whole dash to get to replace it and pull a whole unit from a car at PnP.
The RH flap may still be available and can be replaced without taking the dash apart. The flap plastic end can also be 'fixed' using a tightly bound zip-tie or small worm drive clamp.
The issue may be a faulty motor that can't zero. Some say they can be cleaned, but maybe a PnP visit is in the cards.

If you pull the glove box you can look in and see the recirc motor to see if it is still operating.

You can pull the motor wiring harness. That'll stop it.
