Hey guys,
My car seems to shut off when idling either in park or drive. This is all the information I can give:
1. Car will rev itself/surges sometimes but engine does not cut off after this, so it could be unrelated and is very intermintent
2. The weather is hotter due to summer and temperature seems to be related
3. At first I thought air con was causing it however more recently occured without A/C on.
4. Seems to occur after car has been running for over 30 minutes and has been driven throughout the day already
5. Engine will cut off, electricals will still be on and car will start just fine straight after. There is no hesitation of the engine prior, and is not the same as when you turn the car off with key
6. I noticed when air con is on the turbo control valve solenoid makes a ticking sound intermittently
7. Vida throwing a MAF code, signal too low however I've replaced the MAF sensor recently due to previous issues that were solved by performing a throttle body clean and cleared blockage in the booster ejector valve which is located just before the inlet manifold (part number 30665561) - MAF Sensor was never faulty.
8. MAF code appears intermintently and frozen values don't align with the time of the engine cutting off
I hope this information is clear. I've tried to give you as much as can!
Thanks

How many miles on it? Is the replacement MAF original Bosch part?
I'm thinking electrical, perhaps a fuel pump module if yours has one. In particular the cars with metallic gas tank (silver looking) have a module located on top of the tank (towards the right side) known to corrode.

The maf isn't original but I still have the original and was planning on putting that back in.
I'll check out if the car has a fuel pump module!
Thanks

Also, is the module easily accessible if it does have one? Or is it a pull apart job?
