Currently free install deal going at eBay. Used this last year on the kids S60, did the install at the local Firestone, saved me about $100…set of new GTRadial tires installed for $300.

Yes, good to ask the seller about date codes. I’ve gotten some good deals on TireRack.com on sets that had two year old date codes. This eBay set I mentioned above was pretty fresh.
Process to do the free install was pretty straightforward, and local Firestone seemed more than happy to get the install business.
