1998 v70xc 5cyl turbo here.
so, i'm doing a big service this weekend. belts and water pump plus the PCV system. got the PCV kit from FCPeuro.
https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo- ... bo-850t200
but there's a hose coming into (or out of, what do i know) the intake manifold on the passenger side, it sits right underneath the thermostat. that hose is fully broken off (see pic), and i'm not entirely positive this part comes with the above kit.
i just don't want to start digging into what is my daily driver just to find out i'll need another part. any pointers as to what part number that little bugger is would be highly appreciated.
thanks all!

You can see that hose in the first picture of the kit - it's the longer, skinnier one with elbows at either end that's bundled with the thicker one in the foam sleeve.

Over the years, I found the PCV kit not to be useful b/c the only things I needed were:
- Hose from Oil Trap ---> Valve Cover.
- Short hoses x2 between Oil Trap and Engine Block.
and that is about it.
I went through this before. I didn't use the plastic vent pipe, which itself does not last too long.
I did the 5-8-inch hose mod 4 years ago, so far so good.
If you clean the oil trap, you can re-use it. Most people here re-use the oil trap.
Here is the 5/8-inch hose mod:

+1 on the 5/8 hose mod. I had to redo everything because with the plastic pipe i didn't get enough vacum.

it was a good thing i bought the kit, because it either was neglected by previous owners or it was redone with the cheap-o uro stuff. the main line had cracked on 3 points, the small one going into the intake manifold broke right off the nipple, all brittle and super gunked up.
i heard of the bigger tube method but concur that the hole in the needle is the PTC, which is cleaned now too.
so all good there, just busted a nut on the intake manifold when re-installing. which is a whole different story: https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums ... =1&t=79456
