2002 T5 Throttle Plate Position Question, slightly open at rest ok? Yes!
Hi everyone. I'm having the stumbling weird idle and low RPM issues that seem to usually be resolved by a cleaning of the ETM. I took the module off today and it was surprisingly clean. There was some light carbon on the bore that wiped off with a towel. There was, however, no ETM gasket so that might explain the issues. Before I install that gasket and reinstall, I have one question/concern. The resting position of the throttle plate does not sit perpendicularly in the bore; it's a bit diagonal and there's a little bit of visible gap between the far ends of the plate and the bore. Is this normal? Most of the ETM videos and photos I see online look like the plate closes a little more thoroughly.
