I finally am replying with my update.
In the early fall of 2016 i pulled the head, i got a helicoil kit. I double stacked two helicoils (i did not think 1 would hold). As i was torquing the head back down, i was scared to death the repaired threads would let go. But the threads held, and car is back on the road again.

Exactly what he said. That needs to be perfectly aligned. The machine shop will be able to do so easily. You could take the chance, but it is likely cheaper to have the folks that know this inside and out do it.abscate wrote:I think towing the car to a machine shop and having them put in a Helicoil into your block is probably fastest/easiest solution.
