Battery light comes on for a second when turning '97 850

Occasionally, when I make a turn, the battery light will come on for a second or 2 - no longer. It is usually after I have been driving the car for at least 15 - 20 minutes. 1997 850 sedan with 160K.

Sounds like a bad terminal connection or your battery is low on water. Check both- also for corrosion at the terminal.

Check your serpentine belt as well. The power steering pump and the alternator both run off this same belt.

OK, I really feel dumb. I had my buddy riding in the car with me and I said "see what happens when I start-up from a stop or take a turn too sharp, my battery light comes on."
He calmly informed me that was my coolant light and that I was probably low on coolant and the float gauge was being tripped during those times.
Oops. Guess it is time I need glasses. Boy do I feel stupid!!
