Erie should sell you a complete used DP/Cat WITH A LIFETIME GUARANTEE for less than $400 so check with them first

I also checked with my indie mechanic. He also recommends staying away from aftermarket cats. Some of the ones he installed threw O2 sensor codes.

I don't know the brand but I don't think Milford would be a horrible drive to go see it in person

Then have it shipped to work to delay paying the tax until April 15, 2018

Sorry Steve, you just lost me. It's true that Milford is not far from me (the Milford in CT that is).
But what is there to see?

Ahhh!

Sometimes I'm just not the brightest flashlight in the garage, I suppose.

By the way, I'm dropping off the car at my indie this evening, looks like we are going the used route. I have no time right now to get under there. Works out well since I have to pick up the 850 anyways. He cured the serious misfires for me, but that's another story altogether.

Change in plans. Erie doesn't have a cat for my car

So I will be the guinea pig and try a DEC catalytic converter. I just ordered one from FCP but it ships from California and it will take up to a week to get here, so it will be a while until I can report back on the fit and finish.

I thought everyone used a Magnaflow CAT if they chose aftermarket and it was fine
