2004 Volvo V70 - how to remove center console?

Post by mnmk »

The center console side panels have worn down and are turning white. Can those be replaced or repaired?
Has anyone removed the center console?
It's a 2004 Volvo V70.
Thanks.

Removal is easy.
Once removed just paint them.

If you don't mind a lot of masking, you can probably paint them in the car
All they need is to be cleaned and a light dusting of paint

The following video shows how to do it. The video is about replacing the parking brake cables, but it begins by removing the center console:

If you don't want to paint your old one, you may find a better one at a local junk yard. Just call around or use car-part.com.
