I was looking at the whole assembly but my Mechanic said he'd be happy to just splice in a CAT as well.
I was confused about the location of the sensors. Since the Stand alone CAT's say they have to sensor locations?
Are they on the pipes somewhere?
But most importantly there seems to be 2 distinct sizes available 2.25, and 2.5 -- in/out.
Which is the correct one please?
The least expensive Full assembly I can find is around $210; but for 60 bucks I can just get a CAT by itself?
What should I do?
Thanks very much for your time!

I just ordered a DEC Cat from FCP for my 05". My indie will install it for me in a couple of days at which point I can give some feedback.
Before I ordered it, he told me to stay away from the really cheap ones (thinking Rockauto here), because they can sometimes cause O2 sensor codes.
My preference would have been a used one from Erie Volvo, but they didn't have one.
There is a member on here (JDS60R I believe) who welds in Magnaflow Cats all the time with good success. With any luck he will read this and chime in.

+1 on a weld-in Magnaflow. Even in the expensive greater Toronto area you can get one done for about $200 USD parts and labor.

I think the answer on sizing is 2.25. I think the listing I was looking at for the one measuring 2.5 was a mistake.
