front strut interchange

I have a 2001 V70 T5. This past week, a friend of mine's 2003 S80 got T boned. He replaced the front struts and various strut assembly parts last fall, and he told me I can have them if I want them. So would they be a good swap for my car? Thanks

Yes, they will do (the front ones). Remember to swap the small plastic bracket for the abs sensor wire. Rear shocks may vary but front ones should do for all S60, V70 and S80. Do you know what brand they are? Many aftermarket ones seem to give a front end rise of 0.5" which is not that great as the car becomes unbalanced on open road.

no idea what brand they are, but I think they are Volvo.. My front springs are shorter, fatter (spring wire) and larger in diameter than some other Volvos I have seen. Thanks for the advice.....

Just to mention, I was talking about the strut only. The coil spring, spring seat and strut bearing don't know if are the same for those two cars.
