I've always used Molybdenum Disulfide grease, but as long as they come back out without taking the threads of the head with them, it doesn't matter what you use :)

Genuine Volvo plugs (2 of them) measure .031 & .032 after 45k miles. Not sure what they went in at.

(That's a '96 850 Turbo....)
