Hey im in a jam here... they stopped making transmission torque strut mount for my vehicle.. apparently the 1998 volvo v70 awd models have different transmission torque mounts. Is thst true? I cant find anything online for it only for fwd models. Could i use a fwd model one? Are they the same mount? Please help every place has back orders. Fcp, Eeuro,rm euro, ipd everywhere..

They are now obsolete for the AWD models. There are a few places I have seen that may supply polybushes to replace the failed rubber ones, but to date I have not found one that is 100% sure they fit the AWD set up. The positioning of the lower torque rod is different on a FWD and AWD. I think I recall precopster posting that he had used one from a P2 model and had to file out the mounting holes slightly to make it fit. Maybe try PM'ing him and hopefully he can recall what he used.

I was just browsing IPD sale info and came across this. Price is ridiculous even on sale, but it would fix your issue unless you can get a good used one at a junkyard.

It is probably down to volume of vehicles made. Many AWD parts at the rear are now obsoleted or really hard to find, especially for the "R' model.

The repair part I listed should work. Try PM'ing precopster as I know he used the later part from aP2 with a little filing of the hole, but I cannot remember what it was he used.
