This is the first Volvo I have had and am not familiar with vida / dice. I will reasearch it.
I am feeling the cat is not an issue because the car ran great after changing the tps. Car Pulled impressingly strong seeming if cat was bad it would not have been able to wind up to high Rpms as it did but I know I have a lot to learn here.
After posting I noticed the intake pipes that attach to the ETM had fallen down. I reattached it but still stumbling, stalling and only reving to about 2000rpms.

If the ETM has a board fault (80% of them do) changing the TPS sensor to contact-less will have absolutely no effect.
You still need to have the car read either by a professional grade scanner or by a Vida?Dice setup.
Does the engine light stay on? If so the information is there simply waiting to be discovered by the right OBDII scanner.

You need to have absolutely tight induction ( air hoses) on these cars or else they won't run well. Cats rarely plug up, it's much more likely something else.

Checked induction pipes the started car. Started fine, no lights on dash, no stalling no hesitation, ran like new again. Drove down the road with no issues. Parked at home for hour. Went back to go out and right back to limp mode. Guess I have to find a lap top and get this vida / dice.
Well if I let car sit a while NOT running a half hour or more car starts in limp mode and won't rev up. If I dissonance the the battery, put key in ignition in position 2 then hit brake, then reconnect battery car starts up and runs fine. Continues to run perfect as long as I keep it running and driving and no service light. Once it sits again for more than half hour it will restart in limp mode again. Could this be a bad ignition switch. Would vida / dice show that. I am trying to find a laptop and software.

Does VIDA work on a MY2000? Or does that require the older VADIS system? Because this question seems to be posted in the wrong forum if the car is actually a 2000. And no point in sending Tim off on a wild goose chase if the answer is wrong for his MY.
