Please Help,
I'm about to replace my heater core on my 03 S80 T6. The DIY instructs to remove the steering column prior to removal/installation. However there is a warning prior to removing the steering column:
Caution! Cars with DSTC systems. When working on the steering or wheel alignment, the adaptation of the steering wheel angle must be set to zero using the diagnostic tool. Test drive according to: Test Drive Form (DSTC (dynamic stability and traction control) /brake control module).
I happen to have this DSTC system. If I remove the battery, does this warning still apply? Also does anyone know what this warning mean and how I go about not having to perform the instructed procedure besides removing the core without removing the column?

You don`t really need to move the steering column but it makes pulling the core less frustrating
